Jay-Z's highly-aniticipated "Death of Autotune" music video officially premiered Sunday (June 28) night following the BET Awards 2009 ceremony.

The video marks Jay's latest album single since 2007's American Gangster.

Introduced by BET personality Big Tigger, the video opens with an abandoned alley way as a car pulls up. The rap mogul is seen dressed in all black with shades and his latest grown-out hairstyle as he exits the vehicle and enters through a graffiti-laced door and goes up an elevator. With anticipation building, Jay is seen walking through dark rooms before flipping on a switch as the song's intro beats kick-in. Additional shots in the video show Jay eating in a restaurant but met with an initial confrontation, an "A" chain being blown up, likely representing the 'death' of autotune. The rapper also tagged movie stars and the NBA's Most Valuable Player, LeBron James. Hov is seen in the final minute of "D.O.A" getting his hair cut. The end credits also show Blueprint 3 being released under Roc Nation. ("Death of Autotune")

Jay also performed his song at Sunday's BET Awards ceremony.

Live performances by Jamie Foxx, Beyonce, Maxwell, Ne-Yo - and a surprise appearance by Jay-Z who performed "Death of Autotune- rounded out BET's wall-to-wall Michael Jackson tribute. (Cliff)

His set also forced Juelz Santana to react due to an image of the "A" exploding on the stage's backscreen.

"A! That A chain Hov blew up was for autotune," Santana wrote via Twitter. "I was told if it don't apply let it fly. I don't use auto tune I rap for real. A! I ran into hov many times I know it's nothin but respect." (Juelz Santana's Twitter)

Jay's new music video's existence leaked online earlier this month with photos from the video shoot and reactions.

"On the set of Jay-Z's video for 'D.O.A.' at secret location shhh," Nelly of SecretLifeBaby wrote via Twitter yesterday (June 16). "Just got back to the video shoot for Jay-Z's D.O.A. song....ya'll r gonna luv this video..shhhh can't tell u about it u'll have to wait!
