yeah, it is easy on the eyes
and you can't really have contrast, because it's then repetetive down the page.
although if the 'user cp/faq bar' was maybe a bright colour like orange, maybe a nice green, and the 'shady' on the banner was made to match it, it could add a bit of contrast.
this is cool though i like it a lot.
